Hi, I’m Jessica!

I write Daily Health Cycle, a women’s health site focused on hormones, periods and the years around menopause. My goal is to explain what the research and major health organizations say in plain language, so you can understand your body and go into a doctor’s visit with better questions.

Jessica, who writes Daily Health Cycle, with a short introduction

Why Daily Health Cycle Was Created

Health information about hormones can be confusing, scattered or too clinical to use. Too often it also makes claims without saying where they came from.

Daily Health Cycle was built to bridge that gap. Our guides break down topics like perimenopause, irregular periods, hot flashes and unexplained fatigue, and link to the sources behind the key claims so you can check them yourself.

How We Create and Check Our Articles

We want you to be able to check our work. Here is how we approach it:

  • Named sources, linked in the text. Key claims link to the source they come from, such as the NHS, NICE, the CDC, ACOG, Mayo Clinic, the Endocrine Society and The Menopause Society.
  • Disagreements are shown. Where guidance differs between organizations or countries, we say so instead of picking one silently.
  • Dates are visible. Each article shows when it was last updated.
  • No medical reviewer is listed. Articles are written by me and are not currently reviewed by a doctor, nurse or other clinician. That is why we link to our sources and encourage you to talk to your own clinician.
  • Clear disclaimers. All content is for information and education, not medical advice. See our Medical Disclaimer.
  • Corrections. If you spot a mistake or an out-of-date source, tell us through our Contact Us page and we will review it.
